Hi Cathy,
Found a new new school link you may want to add to your home page. It's:
www.thenewschool.com. It's in Newark, Del., sounds very much like our new
school, but students are age 6-19. Just went online in May.
Thanks for getting T-shirt and memory book info...do still want to order
and want to get together with Susan, as planned before she went to
England...she's back now? Hope all are well..happy summer program to all.

REGARDING=The New School Quilt
MESSAGE=We're still trying to complete the New School Memory
Quilt
that was started in 1995 as a part of The New School's 25th
Anniversary activities. If you're coming Tuesday 5/12/97
7:30 PM for the Australia Night, stop and see the display
of the few quilt squares that we have so far.
WE NEED MORE! All ideas, and
memories are welcome.
No skills are required. Assistance is available for those
with ideas, but little to no confidence in their sewing
ability. Kits with instructions and basic materials are
still available.
If you've already taken a kit
for making a square but
haven't returned it (finished or not) yet or if you're
willing to try, please let us know when you can send it
in or come to a quilting night. All New School Students,
Staff, Family and Friends, Past and Present and perhaps
even Future (any one with a New School Memory) are invited
to participate.
I heard Susan say Older Class
Students can't graduate until
their family is represented by at least one square :)!
Talk with Susan, or call /
E-mail me with what nights are
best for you to spare an hour or 2 for quilting.
Thanks

I am using Netscape Navigator 3.0. I don't know about
Mindspring's server,
but have never had trouble using it with other web pages.
I tried again and here is the exact message that popped up in a
dialog box:
Netscape is unable to locate the server mail. The server does not
have a
DNS entry. Check the server name in the Location (URL) and try
again.
I just realized that you are passing the info via email and I do
not have my
browser set up correctly to send email. This is probably the
source of the
other peoples' problem.
No, I haven't heard from anyone yet. If they are new to the web,
you can
give them my address and have them mail it if it would be easier.
It is

Thanks for your help! I appreciate it.

we could still take a few more students and teachers.

Hi My name is Tonimarie Simone and I am a teacher certified in
elementary
ed and special ed. I have been working as a resource teacher for
6 years.
I am curious about how your school works. I have 2 children ages
27mos

daughters
will both start school at 5 3/4 and I am very concerned.
Also do you have any teaching vacancies, preferably part time, as
I am
very frustrated with the public school system.
I would love to come in for a visit. When is your last day of
school?
Thank you for your time. Please excuse my lack of format email as
I am

Hi Cathy,
Thanks for the quick reply. I have to apologize for my
ignorance...thought I was sending e-mail to the school and staff;
after
reading your message (and re-reading the newsletter) realized it
went to
the home page.
I don't have a web page but do intend to visit yours often. Have
been back
already to check the links.
Any plans for a New School chat room? Are there any alternative
school
chat rooms or e-mail lists on the net?

Took a little while to find you, since tms (in the newsletter)

Have only

Also thrilled to be able to continue the new school connection.
(Can I
order T-shirts and a memory book?)
Much luck and learning on your new interactive route. Hope all
are well.

P.S. Have you seen "The Gleaners" at The Louvre? I was

Dear Susan and Jay!!
Greetings! I tried to send a note via your web site, but it
wouldn't go through, so
I'll try this way instead! Roxie Seiple( my sister) called today
to give me the info
from the newsletter--the newsletter said "tms", but we
decided that was a typo and got
to your website via "tns" in your URL--
Next time Meghan visits (she's downtown, we're in the Burbs)
she'll get online with you,
OK?
We just want you to know we think of you often and fondly, with
love and gratitude in
our hearts for all your wisdom, kindness, patience and generosity
where Meghan and I
were concerned--without you and all the "blood, sweat and
tears" you shed on her behalf
I'm sure many of the paths she eventually found, would never have
been able to open for
her. You were the turning point in her life and we will remember
that all the days of
our lives.
Congratulations on being online, and I'm sure Meghan will be in
touch soon!
God Bless!
Love,
Mary (Martens) Kachel (Meghan Dryw's Mom)
